The author found there is considerable amount of confusion relating to horseracing organisations with a title of “China” and was frequently asked “which can represent horseracing in China”.
Therefore, the author would like to write
a brief summary about these four organisations:
CHIA = China Horse Industry Association 中国马业协会
CEA = Chinese Equestrian Association 中国马术协会
CHC = China Horse Club CHC杰士马主俱乐部
CJC = China Jockey Club 中国赛马会

CHIA = China Horse Industry Association
China Horse Industry Association (中国马业协会), is a national, industrial and non-profit organization founded, voluntarily, by entities and individuals which are in horse industry, love horse culture and engage in horse-related activities.

1 in 1976, the Conference of Horse Breeding Experience in China’s Major Breeding Area and Compiling was held. This is also the earliest activity of CHIA though no official organisation was founded then.
2 in 1982, the Inaugural Meeting of National Horse Breeding Committee was held.

3 in 1994, China Stud Book Committee of CHIA was founded.
4 in October 2002, approved by State Council and based on National Horse Breeding Committee and China Stud Book Committee, China Horse Industry Association was founded.

In 2015, CHIA was awarded National Advanced Social Organisation by Ministry of Civil Affairs and it is the only horse-related organisation in the first batch to receive this award.

CHIA became an Affiliate Member of Asian Racing Federation in January, 2016.

CEA = Chinese Equestrian Association

According to its website, Chinese Equestrian Association (中国马术协会) was founded in 1979 and became an official member of International Equestrian Federation (FEI) in 1982.

CEA is a group member of All-China Sports Federation (中华全国体育总会) and a recognised national sports association of Chinese Olympic Committee. CEA is headquartered in Beijing and is under the supervision and management of State General Administration of Sports and Ministry of Civil Affairs.
CEA has been organising flat races in mainland China since 2008.
CHC = China Horse Club
China Horse Club (CHC杰士马主俱乐部) is a rather famous horseracing organisation outside mainland China.
The major difference between CHC and CHIA or CEA is that CHC is not a horse industry association but an Owner's Club (马主俱乐部) as its Chinese name puts it.
Teo Ah Khing (张祖德), a second-generation Chinese Malaysian, is an architect and the chairman of CHC.

CHC has been organising China Equine Cultural Festival (CECF) for years and in different places.
CJC = China Jockey Club
China Jockey Club (中国赛马会) had its launch event on the 22nd of September, 2014 in Beijing.
The Secretary General of CJC is Lillian Davies (李莉•戴维斯), who was born in Beijing in 1972 and became a British citizen by marriage later.

Soon after its launch event, a large amount of suspicion was surrounding CJC.
According to a report by Southern Weekend (南方周末)—From Icebreaker to Three-Without Organisation—China Jockey Club's Failed Attempt to Move the Cheese (从“破冰者”到“三无组织”—中国赛马会：想动奶酪也枉然), the launch of CJC was both suspected and dismissed by CHIA and CEA.

In response to the suspicion, Lillian Davies blamed it was a mistake of translation—CJC was only launched not created.

On the other hand, in an article by South China Morning Post (南华早报)—'China Jockey Club'
apparently launched in Beijing last month exposed as hoax, “launch” was
used.

Club neither on the answering machine's board nor on the glass plaque.
