BRIEF

On the 25th of July, three thoroughbred races were run on China Horse Capital Racecourse.

 

These races were hosted by China Horse Industry Association (CHIA, http://www.chinahorse.org/about/47.html) and sponsored by People's Government of Xilinhot City.

 

The racecourse (see below) has a 1600-metre sand track and details can be observed below.

The location of the course is Xilinhot City, Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia, China and its coordinates are 43°54'24.4"N 116°05'30.8"E.

Owner Teo Ah Khing from China Horse Club (CHC) is the biggest winner as his horse North Dakota (Galileo) won China Horse Capital · Xilinhot Cup (2000 metres), Group 2 of CHIA, and his stablemates Manus and Flaming Aura were placed runner-up and third respectively in Horse Capital · CHIA Cup (1650 metres), Group 1 of CHIA and China Horse Capital · Xilinhot Cup (1000 metres), Group 2 of CHIA.

 


RULES OF RACING

N.B. Below are only highlights of the rules.
The rules are translated by Wen LI, who has a Master Degree in Interpreting from University of Westminster, UK. 

1.       Racehorses must possess passports issued by China Stud Book Committee (CSBC) of CHIA and obtain clearance from Qualification Examination Panel before entry.

2.       Jockeys can be males or females, 16 years old and upwards, and must possess a Jockey Licence (2015) issued by CHIA.

3.       Racehorses must possess Quarantine Clearance Certificate from a veterinary station at County level and the Certificate must be carried during the entire transport.

4.       The three thoroughbred races are weight-for-age races.

1)      Weight for three-year-old runners: colts and geldings will carry 56 kg (125 lb) and fillies will carry 54.5 kg (120 lb) if they were born between 1st of January, 2012 and 31st of July, 2012; colts and geldings will carry 54.5 kg (120 lb) and fillies will carry 53 kg (117 lb) if they were born between 1st of August, 2012 and 31st of December, 2012.

2)      Weight for four-year-old-and-upwards runners: colts/horses and geldings will carry 58 kg (128 lb) and fillies/mares will carry 56.5 kg (125 lb).

 


RACES

In the first race, China Horse Capital · Xilinhot Cup (2000 metres), North Dakota (IRE, 2010, bay, horse, by Galileo {IRE}) stormed from the back and took over the lead in the final straight dash. His result is 2:17.451.
The second and third finisher are
Hui Y. Xian Feng (AUS, by Murtajill) and Yu L. Mei Gui (JPN, by Neo Universe).

The total prize fund is RMB 100,000 (GBP 10,347/EURO 14,535/USD 16,103).
The winner is to receive 40% of that, the second to receive 24%, the third 18%, the fourth 12% and t
he fifth 6%. The aforementioned prize fund is pre-tax prize.

In the second race, Horse Capital · CHIA Cup (1650 metres), China’s homebred Ren Wo Xing (CHN, 2011, bay, colt, by Tadreeb {USA}) won the CHIA Group 1 race using 1:58.994.
The second and third finisher are
Manus (AUS, by Starcraft) and Ke Lu Si (AUS, by Magnus).

The total prize fund is RMB 500,000 (GBP 51,735/EURO 72,675/USD 80,515).
The winner is to receive 40% of that, the second to receive 24%, the third 18%, the fourth 12% and the fifth 6%. The aforementioned prize fund is pre-tax prize.

The third race, China Horse Capital · Xilinhot Cup (1000 metres) was won by Meng J. Rong Yu (IRE, 2011, bay, colt, by Camacho {GB}) using 1:03.085.
The second and third finisher are
Gotta Love Darci (AUS, by Darci Brahma) and Flaming Aura (AUS, by All Bar One).

The total prize fund is RMB 100,000 (GBP 10,347/EURO 14,535/USD 16,103).
The winner is to receive 40% of that, the second to receive 24%, the third 18%, the fourth 12% and the fifth 6%. The aforementioned prize fund is pre-tax prize.
